Management Skills in Nursing

Author Good management skill is required in every field. When it comes to leadership and management, the pointers are not only evolving around rules and regulations. It is also only the art of convincing people to follow orders. Becoming a leader means you have to develop your own style of functioning that suits the workplace and the employee properly. And it goes the same with healthcare sector as well.
Nurse manager must have the capability to expand her own leadership style, she need that to blend in to the staffs that work under her leadership and also the healthcare facility where she work for. there are several skill that she should possess;
- Nurse manager has to be able to work under pressure and to solve problems affably right to the bottom of it also important to have.
- An ability to empathize with the patients and their families’ everyday and work in harmony with her staffs is among the skills that nurse manager should have.
- In her managerial position, nurse manager must also capable of showing her qualities so that other nurses will duplicate them. She will become everybody role model as so she has to be positive all the time and shows devotion in taking care patients.
- Nurse manager must also set daily, weekly and monthly goals to their staffs and support them along the way.
- She must be able to motivate her staff to become responsible and independent in addition to teach managerial qualities for their future achievement.
